Stockholm Makerspace is a makerspace situated near the Royal Institute of Technology in downtown Stockholm, Sweden. We focus mostly on electronics, 3D-printers, laser cutting, CNC machining and woodworking. We also have a biohacking lab with equipment for medical and biochemical research, and a sewing room that has several sewing machines including an overlock machine as well as a software controllable knitting machine. We recently acquired MIG/MAG and TIG/MMA welding equipment as well as a plasma cutter.

To use some of the tools available, members are required to take a course. Courses are held on a (semi-)regular basis.

Materials for milling and turning such as steel, brass and aluminium are available for sale to members. Plywood sheets for laser cutting are available in several thicknesses.

The building is shared with THINGS, an incubator for startup companies, and we share a kitchen and lunchroom with them which members and visitors may use. Workshops are held several times per month. Members have all-day-round access to the localities.

Visitors: Please make sure that there are people at the makerspace to receive you. Check with us on facebook or on the IRC-channel if you are planning to visit.
