Reforge Charleston is a educational non-profit makerspace in Charleston, South Carolina. We provide a facility for people to utilize tools, equipment, and teach classes for everyone. Our mission is to promote technological literacy in the community. Our inclusive approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) education seeks to engage all ages, skill levels, and cultural backgrounds. Since opening in March 2016, we have strived to forward this mission by teaching over 30 public classes, attending 6 community events. Our facilities have been a place of access for our members and the public to use tools not traditionally accessible to them. From 3D Printing to Laser Cutting we have the equipment and support to provide exposure to technology to everyone in Charleston.
