Rockford, Illinois is a vibrant community of active CNC machinists, programmers, artists, educators, and community leaders -- it made sense to start a MakerSpace here. People from all around are welcome to join us and participate. We are listening, and continue to be inspired.

As of today (15 Dec 23), Rockford MakerSpace does have a building, will be non-profit (501c3), and is not officially accepting memberships or donations. At the moment, we are focusing on forming our committee(s) and finding trustworthy people to work and build with. Our initial hurdles: finding more people for the committee(s), getting a bathroom (and maybe a kitchen), obtaining liability insurance, and getting the word out.
