Fab Lab El Paso, established in 2013, is a non-profit organization specialized as a digital fabrication makerspace and hackerspace. Located in the international metropolitan area of El Paso del Norte, Fab Lab El Paso provides community access to digital fabrication tools and resources for STEM education, skillset learning, workforce training, creative collaboration, prototype development and product manufacture. It is a open-access space for Makers, Hackers, Tinkerers, DIY enthusiasts, and many more. Fab Lab El Paso actively grows and promotes the Maker Movement in this under-served region of the United States.

Our core belief is that the tools and resources to actualize creative ideas should be available to as many community members as possible. Fab Lab El Paso supports open source digital design and hackable personal fabrication machineries so that community members can utilize high-tech, cost-effective tools for actualizing creative ideas. Our programs in design, engineering, electronics, science and computation promote empiricism, innovative thinking, and the scientific method through project-based learning. At Fab Lab El Paso, we aim to provide accessible educational experiences for students and professionals to support the development of more ingenious and resourceful products and businesses in our region and enrich our local communities.
