The CollabLab is a student organization that promotes maker culture and collaboration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) by encouraging an facilitating extracurricular student projects. We operate a member-run Makerspace(AKA Hackerspace) located in Higgins Lab 005 to serve as the central workshop for student projects on campus. This lab provides the tools, materials, workspace, storage, training, and other resources necessary for a wide variety of technology-related student projects. In addition to the physical Lab, the CollabLab organization fosters collaboration between inventive students at WPI. By bringing together a variety of people with unique skillsets and expertise to work on projects under one roof and facilitating virtual networking through our website we aim to encourage entrepreneurship, knowledge-sharing, and cooperation among the WPI maker community.
