Saw the changelog on Statement of Purpose. I was actually using backticks to represent the possessive and regular quotes to define contractions. It's a slight optimization to English in that it has no ambiguity. No quotes at all are reserved for plural usage. But it's not that important. DreamMaker (talk) 13:59, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Ok. It's a funny one, because one of the peculiarities of correcting Czech use of English is that they always use backticks when they mean apostrophes. They do not have the apostrophe on their keyboard. You get used to deleting them whenever you come across them.
