Wiki Nature refers to a particular kind of relationship to the networked world. You're familiar with the corporate publisher-consumer relationship, the blogger-commenter relationship, the community member-socialist kind of relationship. Those are pretty good....

Wiki nature fulfills the ultimate nature of the internet, however: radical editing. Everyone can collaborate as equals on any page. There's no power relationship of publisher vs. viewer. This site has good wiki nature. Wikipedia was better as it didn't prohibit the front page being edited. Of course, people will have some vandalism happens, but the nature of wikimedia is to be able to revert easily.

It's like a public park -- everyone gets to use it. Some people leave a little trash, but people pick it up here and there and everyone can be happy. It's much more superior to having no public parks, right? OR imagine having only corporate parks? Or having to show your resident ID (login) to enter? Bah! Such places are more akin to amusement parks, not the kind we're trying to create. Leave that for the corporate domains, but don't try to sell me on community when you don't allow outbound links to anywhere else.

Obviously, most people haven't figured out this internet thing. This is why javascript has failed the internet, despite it's apparent, glamorous success. Be different.
