User:Average/Total Information Awareness

There are loads of things a top-notch driver would want to be aware of while driving or when getting into the vehicle to start it. Things like:
When starting:
- air filter quality
- fuel levels
- battery charged
- oil level
- tread quality and tire pressurization
- chassis tightness (all the bolts tight and shocks/springs tuned?)
When driving:
- rpm (tachometer)
- fuel flow
- oil flow and quality
- vacuum pressure after air filter
- engine temperature, perhaps at various points on engine
- torque
- engine combustion quality (acoustics generally works)
- engine robustness (exhaust quality works)
- wheel rotations
so you have to have instruments -- instruments that give you read-outs without clutter or spurious noise.
As a driver attunes to the machine, each of these measurements trains him/her to their relationship of their machine to the world. They become one with the machine.
