Sometimes you've crystalized into a sub-optimal order. It could be your hackerspace or it could be your code. That suboptimality can show up in a myriad of ways, from user-frustration to lack of performance. The solution is to refactor.

Many times a suite of code, or perhaps you organization, gets redone and redone and redone only to eventually find oneself at the end of the wrong road. The only solution, then, is to: refactor mercilessly.

If you're a coder, follow the One True Path. If you're not, try some Zen minimalism and quietly setup your Business Plan for living in this world at the end of an Age.
