Liberty, from libre, refers to freedom. It's used in government and open source software. It practically defines anarchy and libertarianism, is the passionate force behind most activism.

But if everyone has freedom, how do you keep others from hurting you? Philosophically and legally, your freedom can only go as far as another`s liberty begins. Right there, you'll find the gray area. At that grey area, a third party or other higher principle has to intervene.

In the World Constitution that higher principle is encoded as Justice for All.
