Jesters are a DM's trick for handling players who aren't playing with respect to reality. Jesters can steal coins, excess equipment, contaminate vials or foods, and so forth. For this reason, if players want to carry more than they would realistically carry in game, the DM can abscond with some of these items. They also are unique in that they might take a player's XP for trade -- see HP. They live off of XP.

If players don't want to be victims of the jester, they have to learn to carry it themselves or keep things in secret hiding spots, banks, a rolling cart, etc.

FYI: a magical "bag of holding" requires about a LEVEL 50 mage to create. The complexity of holding an altered-dimensional reality requires some skill, mate.

If you catch and detain a jester outside the bounds of his dimension, he has to tell you a joke or give you a riddle.
