So until the world has transitioned, you play the game:

  • minimum of 6 hours sleep, average of 8hrs is best.
  • shower more often if you're not eating healthy as outlined (greater sebum production) or getting physically exerted (sweat getting fermented if no exposure to outside air) or you dump core (major shit) and didn't have any moist sanitary wipes. In any case, once a day might strip more oils from your skin and hair than you want. There's also the issue of energy/water use. Try the sniff test.
  • clean clothes. Some rely on the sniff test and appearance to dictate extent of wash needs. Streaks in underwear, pit stains or odor, food stains: toss into the laundry basket.
  • brush teeth daily, mouthwash, too, if your an atheist.
  • breakfast of whole grains, fruits; eschew heavy breakfasts like bacon and sausage, eggs, syrup-laden waffles, etc. .
  • gainful work where you are getting paid fair and just wage in an industry that isn't f*king up the planet
  • avoid: fried foods, highly-refined sugars, artificial anything, alcohol, tobacco products, or drugs of any kind.
  • stick to nutritional supplements only; if you think you need meds, find me.

If you are on the minimalist program:

  • Wash face each day. Keep wash area clean if you are traveling (i.e. don't make librarians clean up for you).
  • Rinse (swish) mouth in the morning
  • Aerate all clothes after use--air and sunshine are the best deodorizers and disinfectants.
  • summer: use sandals (no socks to wash), no underwear (keep toilet paper handy), loose clothing to always have ventilation
  • winter: wool undergarments, cotton middle layer, and nylon+down outer layer (+ rain gear to keep down dry).
  • waterproof bivy with insect screen.
  • use health store bulk bins and hot food bars to stay decently healthy with diverse flavors
  • use a backpack if traveling, not a shoulder or duffle.
  • keep some pit dope, toothbrush kit, and camp towel with you (remember Doug Adams?) as a minimum.
  • Always be ready to leave at a moment's notice if an opportunity comes
