Your body needs food. Calories are the traditional way to give it fuel. Later you'll learn other, advanced alternatives, because most food takes more than it gives back.

Hackers should conserve funds, to save up for worthy acquisitions.

Four main things to note. Needs for fats, sugar, fillers, and fourthly: vitamins and other nutrients. Don't neglect any of these, learn to master the need for them: where to find them to maximize value (value = benefit/cost). The fillers are going to keep you from overloading on the other 3.

  • Bulk foods: rice, granola, nuts; Trader Joe's and organic food markets are your friend. You can also think about Sam's Club and Costco.
  • Top Ramen, and the like, add nutritional yeast to get some cheesy flavor and B vitimins,
  • dry-roasted sunflower seeds, nuts of various kinds, papitas, these can be seasoned to great affect,
  • mac-and-cheese, frozen pizzas,
  • apples, fruit that's about to go bad can be frozen and eaten as-is.
  • ground beef and hot dogs offer the greatest density of energy at the cheapest costs

There are a couple of ways to make fast, high-impact foods out of fresh fruits and vegetables:

  • juicers,
  • dehydrators to make veggie crackers or storable food snacks (for winter conditions, where the excess energy can offset heating costs).

...to be continued.
