The pentagon is finally starting to embrace late 20th century chat technology & open source. In fact, DARPA wants to crowd-source a Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV). Sound crazy? Maybe it is... but it just might work! The Adaptive Vehicle Make program is currently looking for help to seed the 3000-5000 parts (soup to nuts) that make up a Ground Combat Vehicle in a new design language - and they're willing to pay for it. Participation by “non-traditional” vendors (that means you!) is strongly encouraged. Hey hackerspaces, now you can B 4 Realz!
