Positive Hack Days III is a 2-days forum on practical security in Moscow, Russia. It combines business programs, technical workshops, master classes, roundtable discussions and CTF competitions. The forum has been set up to draw attention to hands-on security and real life contemporary threats.
Among special guests of the forum in 2013 are: Travis Goodspeed, who we all know, and ReVuln's founders, Donato Ferrante and Luigi Auriemma, known for their researches in information security ofSCADA and Smart TV. The SCADA Strange Love team will share the latest researches in information security of SCADA, publish tens of new vulnerabilities in SCADA, HMI, PLC of the leading vendors, and also will advise on how to develop a Stuxnet using improvised means. And many more are coming.
We invite hackerspaces to support our PHDays Everywhere initiative, as a part of which we propose you to join a webcast of the event to provide an opportunity for those who are unable to visit Moscow PHDays to actively participate in the forum. Internet forum participants will be able to:
- Join the audience through the internet HD-broadcast (English and Russian languages).
- Participate in discussions and ask questions of the speakers coming online.
- Take part in hacking competitions, to demonstrate their hacking skills and compete for prizes.
- Serve as a reporter for Fast Track Section and tell the world about their research and developments.
In the year 2012 twenty sites expanded the forum's geography due to interactive connection. Each of them turned into a serious event of the regional level and joined together from 20 to 80 local information security specialists. They were able to interact with the speakers presenting their reports on the main platform of the forum, participate in the CTF competition, demonstrate their researches to the whole world, hold their own contests and workshops. 1,500 specialists, who visited Moscow, and hundreds of hackerspaces participants were joined by the Internet audience (almost 30,000 participants). In this year we additionally will provide PHDays Everywhere hackerspaces with sets of software and contests' scenarios, so you could organize your own onsite hacking battles.
