"Nerdix" er en datagruppe som er startet i samarbeid med Sandnes kommune. Denne gruppen er startet på fritt initiativ, og uten noen økonomiske hjelpemidler. Vi er så heldige at vi har fått låne lokaler i Langgaten 54, hvor vi også får disponere internettilgang. Ønsker du eller din bedrift å bistå med donasjon av nettverksutstyr, datamaskiner, skjermer eller annen hardware, så er vi meget takknemlige for det. Nøl ikke med å ta kontakt. :-) Kontaktpersonen i Sandnes kommune er Jostein, som driver Ungdomskafèen i samme bygg som vi er i. Du trenger ikke være übernerd for å komme! Konseptet med disse nørdekveldene er at ungdom skal kunne få et alternativ til sosiale sammentreff som fotball og andre typiske ungdomstilbud, slikt som vi nørder ikke bryr oss om. Så istede for at vi alle sitter hjemme hver for oss, så kan vi heller sitte samlet :-) Aldersgruppen for arrangementet er i utgangspunktet 15 - 25 år, men ingen spør om bevis, hverken ene eller andre veien.. :-P
Noen stikksetninger for nørdekveldene kan for eksempel være:
- Sosialt samvær med mye datasnakk og diskusjoner.
- Forhøre seg med andre ang. datatrøbbel.
- Teste nye operativsystemer, programmer, spill, e.l.
- Holde konkurranser innen f.eks. design, animasjon, spill, programmering, scripting, osv.
- Vise frem/benchmarke/mekke gammel obskur hardware, eller ny hardware for den saks skyld.
- Snakke om/presentere/holde foredrag om datating man er spesielt interessert i.
- Tips og triks innen nettverk, programering, scripting, oppsett av tjenester, osv.
- Generell mekking av PC/Mac/data.

"Nerdix" is a computer group which is launched in cooperation with the municipality of Sandnes. This group was started at its own initiative, without any financial means. We are so fortunate that we have offices in Langgata 54, where we can manage Internet access. Do you or your company to assist with the donation of network equipment, computers, monitors or other hardware, so we are very grateful for that. Do not hesitate to contact us. :-) The contact person in Sandnes municipality is Jostein, who runs the Youth Café in the same building that we are in.
You do not have to be über nerd to come!
The concept of these evenings is that young people should be able to get an alternative to social coincidence that football and other typical youth services, such as we nerds don't care about. So instead of that we all sit at home each of us, then we can sit together and hack :-) The age group for the event is basically 15 to 25 years, but no one asks for proof, either one or the other way .. :-P
Some random sentences evenings include:
- Socializing with a lot of computer related talk and discussions.
- Consult with others regarding computer problems.
- Test the new operating systems, applications, games, etc.
- Keeping in such competitions. design, animation, games, programming, scripting, etc.
- Show / benchmark / tinkering obscure old hardware or new hardware for that matter.
- Talking about / present / give a talk about computer stuff you are particularly interested in.
- Tips and tricks in networking, programming, scripting, layout, services, etc.
- General trying to fix the PC / Mac / data.
