This page is for describing what hacking is...

Hacking is being able to make and understand things that are complex. It could be computer programs, but it could also be fabrics, new engine designs, better cities, book-making, technical documentation, buildings and subterrainian landscapes, or radio transmission.

Along the way, the ones who win are the ones who master their craft.

At MIT, the hackers group was about "locks and entry", building conquests, record keeping and lore, and subversive humor. They had a card with the moral code: leave things as good as you found them, report problems that other might not see, (I forget: anyone fill this in?)
