Energy Efficiency Challenge
This challenge will take place during the April Synchronous Hackathon.

Energy is not cheap, and can make a serious dent in your monthly costs for maintaining the hackerspace. Carelessly accumulating nice, sometimes quite old and inefficient, hardware and equipment may have increased your energy footprint considerably without being aware of it. This might lead to unpleasant surprises with the annual final billing of your energy provider.
The objective of this hackathon is thus to improve the long-term energy efficiency of your space.
How[edit]
Estimate or record how much energy your space will consume in an average week. Identify problem area or devices. Make changes or come with solutions to remove or reduce any problems you find. Report your changes or observations in a blog post linked to this page.
