Artek is a collective composed of creative thinkers who are interested in the areas of computers, technology, science, and electronic art. Currently, we're trying to create a hackerspace in Puerto Rico that will be used to work on projects together, host events such as workshops and lectures, conduct scientific research, and much more.

Objectives

• Build a social group of creative thinkers who are interested in the areas of computers, technology, science, and electronic art.
• Regularly conduct scientific research, and publish scientific papers.
• Encourage peer learning and knowledge sharing, in the form of workshops, presentations, and lectures.
• Foster the use and development of free and open source software, and open hardware.
• Provide a space for members to work on individual projects, or collaborate on group projects.
• Provide members with resources such as books, software, web servers, machine tools, and electronic instrumentation.
