Where to locate a hackerspace... Let's say money isn't an issue because you've got funding:

• Someplace close to educational sector, since it will attract youth,
• Located in cultural centers so it can instruct the world-at-large,
• Near bike paths and/or public transport to lead with the highest examples.
• In a big enough building for community development, have bay doors for large equipment, freight elevator if on non-ground floor, with windows that open to the outside.

If money is an issue, go with a small space in an educational sector OR a large space near bike-paths. You'll be making the cultural center. The World Game should allow finding new space if you don't get optimal right out of the gate.
