SoundBio Lab is Seattle’s only nonprofit community biology lab. We provide hands-on lab skills and STEM classes, as well as access to space, tools, and community to foster individual and community research projects in our U-district biology makerspace.

At SoundBio, we believe science isn’t just for professionals in lab coats – it’s for everyone. Our laboratory space and shared resources support entrepreneurs, science enthusiasts, citizen science projects, and students. Through affordable, hands-on programming, we make bioscience accessible to all ages and backgrounds, sparking curiosity, playfulness, and agency in the sciences.
