The Hackspace group was initially formed in May 2013, but after failing to secure a permanent home, regular meetings were put on hold. In June 2015, a new impetus was given to the group with a number of new members and a resumption of regular meetings. Currently the group is meeting once per month in a room belonging to the University of Central Lancashire.

Members are a varied group with interests including electronics, raspberry pis, home automation and multirotor drones.

The group is seeking new members as well as looking for a permanent space to inhabit. If you have an interest in finding out what we do, or have a suitable space available for rent, please contact the group via the website at http://prestonhackspace.org.uk/
