In North Hackerspace we experiment with technology on myriad ways. Programming, networks, high-powered radio. Anyone can join: you can write your first line of code alongside us, or keep improving your mature skills with like-minded people.

We work in projects with the ambition of creating valuable things, improving Madrid, and endless fun tinkering.

The location[edit]

We usually meet in the La Piluka Social Center. In exchange for taking care of it (errands, cleaning), we can use it anytime free of charge, as long as no one else has scheduled it already. For now we use a traditional key system the organizers safekeep.

We currently use Meetup for attracting new members and announcing events, but future plans may include scrapping it.

NH's improvements[edit]

Having a traditional key system and scheduling by talking makes the group very top-heavy. Want to make an impact? These would boost NH's throughput, decentralization, and activity:

- An automated, frictionless scheduling & suggestions system, like a Telegram bot. - Out-of-the-box projects. - Joining the organizers' team for fewer points of failure. We're swamped with our personal lives right now.
