We are going to be OPEN to the public this First Friday 1-2-2015!

Making Awesome is a mash-up between technology and art. We see ourselves as a social organization, a community workshop and an educational organization and an incubator for early-phase enterprises.

We've moved to a 3100 square foot space in the local "Innovation District". The building formerly housed a frozen food warehouse. We have 3 phase power and are working on getting internet connectivity. We're working on building out our tool collection. Right now, we have a pretty decent wood shop, an industrial sewing machine, 3D printers, a CNC machine, an electronics area and are working on getting a metal shop organized.

Every Wednesday evening, we hold an open-house and invite community members to come and see what we're up to. (open houses on hold during rebuild). Every First Friday of the month, we participate in the Railroad Square community event.

There is a sliding scale for membership. Members who pay at the $25/monthly level or above are provided with an RFID card for the space and have access to any tools that they have been checked on on. We offer classes on a variety to topics, including open source software, electronics assembly, Arduino, rope making, etc.

We also organize and participate in challenges and contests. You can find more information on Making Awesome on our web site or on our Facebook page.
