We are organized as a Massachusetts non-profit.
We started planning meetings in September of 2012 and filed Articles of Organization in October of 2012.
In January of 2013 we began renting a 1000 sq. ft. space in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, MA. We are but a stones throw away from an Orange Line station, which is muy bien.
We have been slowly (in between job and personal commitments) renovating what was a rather worn out space. With a fresh coat of paint, new or refinished flooring in a couple of rooms, no more musty carpet, and the beginnings of workbenches, workspaces, furniture, the space is ready for the next step in its life - the beginning of its use a community space to come and work on your software or hardware projects, hang out with other people doing the same thing, etc.
We are excited to welcome in any new members at any time! We are small, we are lean, and we are determined to make a space that others (and ourselves) may enjoy and will allow us to thrive personally, professionally, socially, and technologically.
