Hive 76 is a hackerspace in Philadelphia PA in South Philly at the former Bok Technical High Schol. We are a collection of Hackers, Inventors, Artists and Volunteers. We are a non-profit (working on 501(c)3) run by our members who have 24-7 access to our workspace, tools, and equipment.

Our equipment includes several RepRaps (including one that prints chocolate!), laser engraver, drill press, woodworking tools, electronic test equipment, flight simulater, and much more. We have space for electronics and software tinkering, as well as woodworking and light metalwork. Members have full-time access, and we invite the general communality to use our space through classes and events. We have public open hours every Wednesday night. 7 to 11PM, and can otherwise be open by invitation or request for help.

We run 1-3 classes a month, ranging from Python to PCB printing, and regularly volunteer to do events with education, or develop great projects for events or our own satisfaction. Projects to come out of Hive76 include Linux Install Classes, a Giant Operation Game, raising money to do bike kits with kids.

Hive76 has a new member process that involves meeting all the current members, and being voted in. It's encouraged to become a Dismember early, and attend as many Open Houses as possible. Visiting is allowed during Microcontroller Mondays, Open House, or various classes. Visiting is also allowed on a case-by-case basis.
