General Introduction

Located in the beautiful city of Bamberg which is primarily known for its rich beer culture and cultural heritage it is no great surprise that the backspace e.V. took up its home in a former pub. After its founding the members took some time to patch up and refurbish the rather dilapidated rooms: a new workspace, different working environments, a lounge and a kitchen were created. Backspace welcomes all interested creatures to visit them.

Projects

We have now been here for quite a while these are some of our current projects:

• A lot of home automation
• Boxes.py laser cut generator
• DYI Delta 3D printer running Klipper
• DMX Lighting for the Lounge
• A styrofoam plotter for aluminum home casting
• Automated Doorcontrol
• Youth education programs
