We started as a meetup group in January of 2012 and opened our physical makerspace in December of 2013. Anchorage's first mini-maker faire was held in July of 2013. We had ~40 makers on hand and about 1500 attendees for the one day event.(http://www.meetup.com/Anchorage-Makers)
