Mastery of Knowledge is an interplay between being relevant and timely; i.e. if you don't have knowledge worth presenting, you have to seek it, yet you cannot rush towards it lest you become a vine that grows fast only to choke the Truth. Mastery of Appearances is an interplay of being too liberal and looking crazy vs. wrestling order from the chaos to churn the Unknown into the Comprehended. Of Pedagogy, you have to balance the need for admiration from the community alongside their development (being independent of you).
