Objects hold their power by:
- the particular form which has the right characteristics. Depending on the perfection of this vessel, it will get diluted over time, and wane if it is away from the power of its creator, unless protected with proper ritual or ceremony.
- the gods, which can hold the power more consistently over time, if they are inclined to do so,
- proper use. Improper use can render the object ordinary.
